As such I never required any such utility, and I am not sure what could be the use of this (except creating some collage like image), but as per the Image Packer’s home page requirement for packing multiple images as one new image file could be  –

“Mostly for efficiency and organization. APIs such as OpenGL and DirectX require power of 2 textures. A group of non-power of 2 textures could be merged into a single power of 2 image to improve texture memory usage. It’s also handy when you have animations of a 2D sprite that you would like to keep in one file rather than have each animation frame as an individual file, which can hinder load times.”

Image Packer can be downloaded as a zip file and later unzipping it you get an exe file, this application doesn’t need any installation and is standalone. Once launched, Image Packer appears as shown below.

The grey colored area in above snapshot is the viewing pane, images added for combining can be seen here, in the right panel as shown above, you can add new images, delete them, and relocate them, also the layout can be chosen for the new image in this panel.

Now, as soon as the ‘Save’ button is clicked, it produces the image file and also the co-ordinate file in XML format, if required, you can unpack this image file to get the original images, using the XML file.

While reading this awesome post on Ghacks, I came to know about Quick Image Downloader, which is a Firefox add-on and can download all the images from any webpage in one go.

All you have to do is to install this add-on like any other Firefox add-on, and after restarting your browser you will get to see a small download arrow button in bottom-right corner of the FF.

Now, whenever you are on a webpage, simply click this down arrow button to grab all the images on your HDD, once clicked, it asks for the folder where you want to download these images, browse to give then path, and chill.

And later you can check your folder to see all the downloaded images.

Quick Image Downloader, works fine and can download the images which are linked to some other webpage as well.

However, an option in settings to decide the size of image (in dimension or in size) is definitely a requirement, so as to save it from downloading useless icon and logo images.

In spite of the fact that there is a room for improvement, this add-on is a boon for people who somehow are indulged in downloading images from webpages.

There are two parts of this application. One which runs on your desktop and one that will run in your BlackBerry Device. Once you pair up your computer and blakcberry using bluetooth, the applications will connect and turn blue.  Features which are free :

After downloading and installing the drivers (32-bit here, 64-bit here), assuming your WiFi chipset supports the functionality (which I can verify the 5300 can but 3945 cannot), a new “Wireless Network Connection” with the adapter name “Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport” will automatically appear in your network connections.

And that explained me why I was seeing this into my into my list of Network Connection, though in a disconnected state. Not sure if any update or connectify  rolled out this since I have not installed it.

Long Zeng also explains how you can enable that without using Connectify and here is what you need to do.

• Launch the command prompt with administrator privilage.
• Type as below  and you would see the output similar to me.
  C:\Windows\system32>netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=aryanwin7vwifi
  key=loma#sexy#toma
  The hosted network mode has been set to allow.
  The SSID of the hosted network has been successfully changed.
  The user key passphrase of the hosted network has been successfully changed.

  C:\Windows\system32>netsh wlan start hostednetwork
  The hosted network started.

• Change the bold marked username and password for yourself.
• Now share your active internet connection to this Virtual WIFI.

I did all this and  tested with my BlackBerry WIFI to see if it worked and yes it did. Here are the screenshot.
